RAG RAID
What's a RAG raid I hear you cry? A raid is RAG chat for a charitable street collection. Basically, a group of hardcore Raggers set off for a destination in the early hours on our very own union minibus. The aim is to force as much money out of innocent strangers while wearing bizarre fancy dress! After a hard days work we head back to the toon for a night out to celebrate our hard work!!!
This year we have had one RAG Raid so far..... 17 over us travelled in a minibus to Edinburgh, where during the day we raided the town centre and then stayed the night in a youth hostel. Over £1000 was raised during this one weekend event.
There is another RAG Raid in the pipe line to York. This is planned for 23/24th of February.
